- 4½" squares: Cut 2 light, 1 dark.
- Cut 4 7/8" squares: 3 light, 3 dark; then cut each diagonally to make 6 triangles of each color. Stitch triangle units together.
- Stitch into rows of three, then stitch the 3 rows together.

Put together 12 Split Nine Patch blocks, flipping every other block, in 4 rows of 3 each. Add 3" borders. This is a throw size quilt, 42" x 54".
